The annual 'Charity Walk - walk for those who can’t' has been one of the largest fund-raising events of the Rotary Club Calvià International on Mallorca for over 30 years. This popular event has been taking place at Finca Galatzo since 2008, followed by a barbecue in the bar ‚Sa Vinya‘ in Es Capdella.
Finca Galatzo is owned by the municipality of Calvià and comprises an area of more than 14,000,000 square meters with over 15 km of public accessible hiking trails with different levels of difficulty.
The annual Charity Walk is organized by the Rotary Club Calvià International, with the support of the municipality of Calvià, and all revenues go directly to the non-profit organization ASDICA, which takes care of the needs of disabled children and their families on Mallorca. The aim is to make everyday life easier for these people and to make it as happy as possible.
The Charity Walk offers 2 different guided hikes. The first tour is about 2km long, the second tour is about 8km. In addition to the beautiful landscape, you will also learn interesting facts about the local flora and fauna, as well as exciting things about the historic buildings on the property.
